ASTRONOMY FAIR 2010

The ASU Astronomy Fair is designed for children of the ASU community in kindergarten through fourth grade. Students will participate in supervised, hands-on activities that demonstrate the wonderful world of astronomy. An exciting feature of the Fair is STARLAB, a portable planetarium, in which students will experience the night sky.

Some activities include:

  • Alka-Seltzer Rockets
  • Bubble Planets
  • Saturn Model
  • Soda Straw Rockets

Many, many more!

The Astronomy Fair will take place on Sunday, November 7, 2010, at Arizona State University's Memorial Union, Arizona Room 221 from 1:00pm to 4:00pm. Even though this is a 3-hour fair, you are free to come and go anytime during the event. Children will be free to participate in the activities of their choice.

STARLAB presentations will be regularly scheduled. In addition, the Science is Fun Program will be making three forty-five minute presentations.

Children will be free to participate in all the hands-on activities and one presentation of their choice.  The presentations include the STARLAB, and Science is Fun Program.

Please note: The Astronomy Fair is free, however, to participate the child/children must be accompanied by an adult.
